This trip with Ruedi Flury is planned for November / December 2026, when the weather is less oppressive in India.
Ruedi and I have a bit of a history of traveling together, with the most epic trips being Bhutan (2010), Ethiopia (2014) , Egypt (2017) and Romania (2021).
We will spend 17 days in Rajasthan and then another week in Tamil Nadu and Kerala and will be back in time for a (white?) Christmas.
Notes:
- 1 lakh is equal to 100'000 (for example Indian rupees)
- There are 23 official languages (and around 800 unofficial languages)
- 60 % of all streets in India have no name (or number), orientation is achieved mainly with the help of "landmarks", which can be prominent (like monuments), but can also be shops etc.
