Breslau (aka Wroclaw)
I had to negotiate the place on my own, as I dropped Manuela off at the airport in Krakow the evening before.
Charming place with a brillant marketing gag, which was not planned as such.
Throughout the town there are dwarfs. Tourists walk through the main areas looking for these guys and look more closely at places they would otherwise ignore. I am sure this significantly ups the local GDP.
Here is a sample of the ones I found while wandering around. There are over 1000 in Breslau, with many more in the greater area. These tiny figures began as symbols of the Orange Alternative anti-communist movement in the 1980s.
My favorite is, of course, the traveller.

I tried to put an orange-haired face on this one, but AI wouldn't help me.

The dwarfs are everywhere. Here are some in the center of Breslau, as shown in the app.
Bye now.
